What We Do
At PlusOne Mentoring, we play a supportive and empowering role in the lives of individuals with disabilities. This includes being a trusted companion, advocate, and ally, offering support, guidance, and encouragement to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals. We believe being a “plus one” extends beyond just the individuals we support; through companionship with the families, we work together to achieve growth in our mentees.

Our mentors lead by example, demonstrating positive behaviours, attitudes, and practices that inspire our mentees to strive for their best selves and achieve their full potential. We place great emphasis on finding the perfect mentor for each participant; this drives us more than anything.
We are Goal-Oriented and Results-Driven
Our focus is on assisting or mentees to set and achieve personal milestones, ensuring they make measurable progress towards their goals. Our support workers actively measure tangible differences after every shift through detailed note-taking and ongoing discussions with parents, carers, and the participants themselves.
We are Transparent
We believe in open, honest communication with our mentees, their families, and our team. Trust is built through clarity and reliability, so we ensure everyone involved understands the process, progress, and goals.
